The purple Pansy is the collection’s most soulful botanical, beloved for its wide, “face-like” petals and deep, ink-stained heart. Known for their incredible resilience and soft, chamois-like texture, these blooms provide a rich depth of color to the Herbarium palette. Our watercolor interpretation focuses on the “blotch”—the dark, moody center that bleeds into vibrant violet and royal purple edges. By using heavy pigment at the core and thinning it out toward the petal’s rim, we’ve captured that signature velvet sheen. These prints bring a sense of playful personality and cozy warmth, grounding the collection with their earthy, saturated beauty.  

The red Hydrangea is a bold, architectural centerpiece for the collection, offering a dramatic shift from the cooler garden tones. Unlike its blue or pink counterparts, the red variety carries a deep, ruby-hued intensity that feels both classic and daring. Our watercolor painting focus on the intricate “mosaic” of the flower head—a dense cluster of four-pointed petals that overlap to create a rich, textured sphere. We used layers of pomegranate and burnt sienna to give the bloom a sun-ripened depth, resulting in a print that feels grounded and warm. It is a statement of vibrant strength, designed to add a sophisticated, saturated pop of color to our white t-shirts.  

The pink Coleus proves that foliage can be just as breathtaking as any bloom. Known for its vibrant, “neon” energy, this plant serves as a masterclass in organic color-blocking. Our watercolor study captures the dramatic contrast of a glowing, fuchsia center bleeding into deep burgundy veins and bright lime-green ruffled edges. Using a “soft-bleed” technique, we’ve replicated the way the pink pigment seems to radiate from within the leaf itself. This print adds a pulse of contemporary, tropical-inspired warmth to the Herbarium collection, making it the perfect choice for pieces that bridge the gap between cozy home-wear and bold, artistic expression.
