The Orchid brings a sense of refined, sculptural mystery to the Herbarium collection. Known for their uncanny symmetry and “floating” presence, these blooms are the quiet intellectuals of the plant world. Our watercolor approach moves away from the tropical and toward the ethereal, using sheer, watery washes of porcelain white and soft mauve to highlight their architectural silhouettes. With their delicate, trailing stems and centers that look like tiny, intricate paintings in themselves, the Orchid print offers a sense of serene luxury—perfect for the collection’s most elegant, lightweight layers.  

The Lilac is a celebration of spring’s peak, capturing the lush, heavy-headed clusters that signal the transition into warmer days. Rather than focusing on individual petals, our watercolor study treats the bloom as a textured “cloud” of color—using layered dabs of periwinkle, soft plum, and muted amethyst. This technique creates a sense of airy volume, mimicking the way Lilac bushes appear as soft, fragrant masses in a garden breeze. It is the collection’s most romantic print, offering a hazy, impressionistic aesthetic that brings a dreamlike quality and a splash of vintage charm to our most relaxed silhouettes.
