Echinacea, commonly known as the Purple Coneflower, is a hallmark of the North American Great Plains with a history deeply intertwined with Indigenous medicine. Modern usage focuses primarily on its immunomodulatory properties; it is a staple in holistic pharmacies for reducing the duration and severity of the common cold and upper respiratory infections.
